Brockport Mathematical Discovery and Sex Trafficking Charges

By Johnny Nixon @John_R_Nixon

A Brockport student and professor team has disproved an over 300 hundred year old mathematical theorem. Graduate student Adam Krause was attempting to solve a problem in the first few weeks of classes last semester when he noticed something seemed wrong with the theorem called Ozanam’s Rule. He took his findings to his instructor, Associate Professor Howard Skogman. Together the two revised and corrected the 17th century theorem by the end of the semester.

A Rochester man has been sentenced to 17-21 years in the New York State Department of Corrections plus 5 years of Post Release Supervision for eight counts of sex trafficking. 43 year old John Spencer forced 3 different victims to sell themselves for his monetary profit.
