Women Struck by Car and Toxic Masculinity Workshop

By Allan Frei

A woman was struck by a car and killed on Genesee County Boulevard on Monday around 11:30. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver stayed and was fully cooperative. Police have yet to release the names of the victim and person responsible. Rochester police Captain Elwood has said no charges will be filed.

As a part of sexual assault awareness month, activist and actor Tim Collins will be hosting “The Toxic Masculinity and Rape Culture Workshop,” this Thursday, April 19th in Eagle’s Lookout. In his words, “it will explore the socially-constructed attitudes that may encourage men to behave in unemotional, aggressive, or violent ways.” It is recommended that interested people RSVP with Colleen Holcomb.
