In the past week, two amber alerts were issued for children abducted, both with a common theme. The first amber alert was issued last Thursday, when 22 year old Guillermo Torres-Acevedo of Batavia took a 14 year old Byron girl from school. Later that day, Torres-Acevedo was located in Pennsylvania along with the girl he abducted. The second amber alert was issued on Saturday, when 41 year old felon Robert Gonzalez abducted a 14 year old girl from Lasalle Street in Rochester. Gonzalez and the girl were finally found by Rochester Police, in New York City this past Tuesday. Both girls were found with no serious injuries, but were being sexually exploited by these men. Gonzalez and Torres-Acevedo were accused of having an illegal sexual relationship with these young girls, but charges are not yet made.
