By Will Secules

Friday, October 5th through 7th there will be a production about the infamous Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire. The event will be held from 7:30 to 9:30 PM at the tower fine arts center. The event charges $17 for general admission, $12 for seniors, alumni, faculty and staff and $9 dollars for students.

The reason your cellphone started going crazy yesterday was a nationwide emergency alert test. The alert system is configured to allow the president and other officials to directly reach the public in times of crisis. The text noted that there was “no action needed” from the recipients.

As a way to avoid a $14 million federal penalty, Governor Cuomo and his administration have agreed to relocate 80% of the “I Love New York” signs along state highways. Regardless of the warnings given by federal regulators that the signs were a violation of state and U.S. law, the state spent $8.1 million dollars on the project. The signs are said to be moved to rest stops, parks and historic sites.
