At a Chili’s restaurant in DeWitt, NY 29-year-old Kristopher Hicks and 37-year-old Stephen Gudknecht were shot and killed following a shift. They were killed around 1 AM this past Saturday. A former coworker of the two victims, William D. Wood Jr. has been charged with murdering Hicks and Gudknecht. However, the double homicide began to get more interesting, as four more people have been charged for being involved in the murders. Ronald Green was charged with two counts of second-degree murder and one count of endangering a child. Tracy Brown was charged with two accounts of second-degree murder, allegedly giving Wood the gun in exchange for money following the robbery. Tracy’s brother, Ryan Brown has also been charged with second-degree hindering prosecution and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, as he was allegedly in the getaway car with heroin. And yesterday Jerome Pinkard was arrested and charged with criminal sale of a firearm. We at Talon send the Hicks and Gudknecht families our sincerest condolences.
