A home in Victor caught fire Wednesday morning. Several pets have died as a result of the fire. Firefighters say 30 cats and a dog were in the house when the home caught fire before 1 o’clock. Investigators say the fire started in the kitchen and spread to the second floor of the home. Four cats and a dog were rescued by emergency crews.

University of Rochester professor, Florian Jaeger, will be returning to the classroom in the fall after being in the center of a sexual harassment investigation. Members of an Equal Employment Opportunity Commision complaint have released a statement. The complainants say the U of R’s “systemic failures allowed Jaeger’s misconduct to continue”. The statement continues expressing the complainants disappointment with the decision to bring the professor back into the classroom.
